Michael has spent his career as an economic development consultant and risk adviser, primarily in emerging markets, specialising in trade development. With others, he set up the TDI group of companies and he led Malachite Advisers in London. His clients have included the UK’s DfID, the World Bank, the European Commission and numerous foreign governments, as well as BP, Vodafone, Rio Tinto and London financial services companies. He has been Chairman of British Expertise, the UK industry association and is on the boards of Orbis – the international eyesight charity. Michael is a graduate in Commerce from University College Dublin and Barrister at Law. He has done management and investment executive education courses at Harvard and London Business Schools.

Hanspeter has extensive experience in negotiating international trade and economic agreements, both with the EU and other economies. At the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO he has served as Head of Section on International Economic Law and as Deputy Head of Division on Foreign Economic Services, with the rank of ambassador. He was also Director at the EFTA Secretariat and Head of the Division of Trade Policy Affairs. He holds a Doctorate of Law from the University of Zurich and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Temple University, Philadelphia, USA.
Brendan has worked in trade facilitation, trade policy, political risk and market intelligence, in Africa, Asia and Europe, including at United Nations ESCAP. He has a Bachelors in Law, a Masters in International Management and has studied at the University of Edinburgh, National University of Singapore, Peking University and ESADE Business School.
